It’s inspiring to learn best practices in a workshop, but it can be a game-changer when you experience great destinations firsthand, as a way to deepen your understanding of the work you’re involved in. Crosscurrent organizes educational study tours that let tourism development stakeholders experience inspiring destinations in person.
These are study tours, not vacations – we spend time meeting community leaders, innovative entrepreneurs and change-makers in the world of community-based destination development and regenerative tourism. Of course, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a wonderfully enjoyable experience! Once we’re through the pandemic and it’s safe to travel again, we’ll be offering immersive study tours for people who want hands-on learning experiences that will give them a better understanding of the “how-to” of successful destinations.
