Steve Kruger is a parks, trails, and nonprofit leader with two decades of experience spanning hands-on trails management and volunteer services, as well as park operations, environmental education, volunteer leadership, and organizational development. His career has progressed from conservation corps and ranger roles to public-land management and leading Trailkeepers of Oregon’s growth into a statewide nonprofit. Steve is especially skilled at connecting field realities with organizational strategy—helping agencies, nonprofits, and community partners build practical programs, trusted partnerships, and sustainable systems that turn trail and recreation goals into lasting public benefit.
