Empowering communities to be thriving destinations for visitors and residents
Dan earned a master’s degree in community resources and development from Arizona State University, focusing on how tourism can be used to improve a community’s quality of life and place for both visitors and residents. He studied the emergence and spread of state-level destination development programs, and he’s keenly interested in creating large-scale systems that equip local communities with the necessary skills and tools to develop and manage their own futures as livable destinations. He’s also working to help create a professional network that can improve coordination and provide resources to support practitioners within the field of destination development.
